To change screens you tap on the icons at the bottom of the screen - Alphabet, Cards, and Words

The first step is to familiarize yourself with the individual letters of Mara.

Alphabet

The app always starts in the Alphabet screen, which steps through each letter, showing the regular letter and the Mara letter. Simply tap Next to proceed through the alphabet.

Cards

This is an individual letter flash card screen, which shows you the Mara letter, and lets you decide when to see the regular letter. You tap on Reveal to show the regular letter, and tap on Next to go to the next letter. The letters are randomly chosen so there is no specific order.

Words

This shows whole words in Mara, and you can then tap on Reveal to see the actual word. Tap on Next to see another word. Words are chosen randomly from a list of common words.

About Rosetta Eye

Rosetta Eye is an app that will teach you how to read the writings on the wall of the Indiana Jones® Adventure Attraction in Disneyland ® Park . When the ride first opened guests were given a card that would help you translate the words. However  it wasn’t very useful while walking through the entry part because it was dark, and there wasn’t enough time to stand in place and translate. You could take the card home and try to teach yourself the letters, but by itself it still didn’t prepare you for reading whole paragraphs of text in real time. By using Rosetta Eye you can train yourself to read virtually everything on the walls of the ride as you're going through.

There doesn’t seem to be an official name of the font used for the letters, but many folks have called it Mara so that’s what we use here.
